A little about my work

Hi! I’m a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC-D) in New York. As a queer-identified therapist, I specialize in working with the queer community (and loving allies!) who are navigating trauma, anxiety, OCD, relational stressors, and more.

I work with the belief that collaboration and connection are key in the therapeutic space. This means that I prioritize a relationship-first, human to human approach to therapy. With a sturdy foundation built, we’ll work on attunement to self, adaptability to change, nervous system regulation.

I'm also EMDR certified and integrate trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches to help clients process difficult experiences while developing a stronger sense of agency, resilience, and self-compassion.

Finding a therapist who just gets it can make all the difference. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I understand that many queer individuals, as well as other folks in marginalized groups, navigate unique experiences, stressors, and relationships that deserve to be met with both affirmation and understanding. I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience into the therapy room, creating a space where you can show up fully as yourself.

You might enjoy working with me if…

You want therapy to feel like a genuine conversation, human to human. You like someone who is direct, yet also laid back.

You identify as LGBTQ+ or are looking for an affirming space where you won't have to educate your therapist. (I know most of the terms. You don’t have to explain “u-hauling” to me.)

You appreciate a therapist who can hold space in the hard moments, but use and understand a bit of humor along the way.

You appreciate a casual environment— I will always pick comfy clothes over business casual :)

A little about me personally

Outside of session, you can find me moving my body, whether that be at yoga, pilates, or outdoors for a little mental health walk, reading a book, or traveling to a new city. I love slow mornings spent with coffee and my cats (I have 3, possibly more by the time you read this.)

Healing doesn’t only happen in therapy, it happens in the most mundane of moments. I do my best to care for myself in these simple moments so that I show up as best as possible for all of you.
